HOTEL REVIEW: Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

Bellagio is one of the most iconic hotels attractively situated in the middle of the Las Vegas strip, featuring a fabulous lake performing a perfectly choreographed song and dance show, illuminated by thousands of lights and shooting water over 45 feet into the air.

Rock Licker and I went there for a quick staycation, and it was a wonderful getaway.

As we made our way to the entrance, we were in complete awe of the incredible glass flower display in the lobby ceiling. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful hotel entrances in the city.

This garden of hand blown glass, Fiori di Como, is one of Dale Chihuly’s master creation. The sculpture is a representation of Italian Fields in the spring, and consists of over 2,000 hand-blown glass blossoms that weigh about 40,000 pounds.

The Happy Travellers before checking-in at Bellagio Hotel

The check-in procedure was very quick and easy. We simply showed them our passports and we were handed our room key within a couple of minutes. After taking photos of the flower ceiling, we headed upstairs to our room and we were totally stunned by what we saw. It’s without a doubt one of the best view that we have come across in my entire life!

Room 27014

Our room is a Resort Tower King with a spectacular panoramic view of the Las Vegas strip and Bellagio's musical fountain. The room has one king size bed with cashmere mattress, and a sitting area with side table. It features a 40" flat screen Samsung HDTV & modern entertainment center, ergonomic workstation, convenient media-hubs with easy connectivity plugs, wireless high-speed Internet access, bedside iHome docking station, laptop-friendly nightstand safe, automatic drapery and sheer controls, organic carpeting, coffee and tea facilities and generously stocked mini-bar.

The Italian marble bathroom has a lighted makeup mirror, hair dryer, scale, soaking tub, glass-enclosed shower, personal sink and complete hygiene kit.

Bellagio has five luxurious pools. The two largest pools are heated, while the temperature of the three smaller pools vary by season. All swimming pools are Italian-inspired and surrounded with elegant lush citrus trees in extravagant imported Italian planters and beautifully landscaped gardens.

Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

This is my favourite part of Bellagio and we just chanced upon this place while wandering around the hotel. The Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is an indoor garden display that beautifully showcases lush plants, vibrant flowers and towering trees. 120 horticulturist staff maintains the garden and creates the artistic design appropriate for that time of year. During the course of each seasonal exhibit, more than 10,000 potted flowers are hand-watered and changed every two weeks. All the wilted flowers are reused and converted to mulch, in fact 90 percent of the conservatory is recycled.

The slot floor features over 2,300 reel, video reel and video poker games, the most dynamic and exciting slot action in Las Vegas with jackpots and progressives often growing into the millions. But we didn't play.

Las Vegas Strip

We decided to make the most of the amazing location that we were in, and take a walk down the famous Las Vegas strip. It was a beautiful walk, in fact, we won’t have to venture too far for anything that we might need or want during our stay at the hotel since it's close to everything.

Crystals Mall

The Crystals at City Center is definitely my favorite mall in the Las Vegas strip. It has stunning architecture and lots of high-end shopping selection. We were there from the moment the mall opened so we took advantage of the fact that the mall was nearly empty. We had a great time window shopping and strolling. We came back to our hotel in the evening upon closing time.

Bellagio is a perfect place to stay for people visiting Las Vegas. You have everything you can imagine just a few minutes away from you, from attractions, shops, restaurants, casinos, pools, theatres, salons, spas, etc. It is located in the centre of the strip, right off the main highway so guests have easy access to get to other places around Las Vegas strip. This hotel is definitely one of the best we've ever stayed in and we can't wait to go back. Just take note, everything happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
