HOTEL REVIEW: Disney's Hollywood Hotel

We love Disneyland. Being in a Disneyland Park is always such a magical experience that brings out the child in us. During our vacation in Hong Kong, we spent 2 days in "the happiest place on earth", and our marvellous stay at Disney's Hollywood Hotel perfectly complete our Disneyland experience.

Check-in

The check-in was swift and easy and most importantly, friendly. We requested for a quiet room on a higher floor and we were given the best room available at that moment.

Room 6703

Our Deluxe Room has a wide window overlooking the hotel gardens and the sea. It has WiFi, mini bar with refrigerator, coffee & tea maker, flat-screen LCD TV, working desk, telephone and safe deposit box. The toilet and bath features fancy bath amenities from the Disney bath collection.

Garden

One of the impressive features of Disney's Hollywood Hotel is its garden. This beautifully manicured greenery provides a scenic morning run or late afternoon stroll, and a great place to take pictures with the vintage California cars or with sea view as background.

Chef Mickey

Chef Mickey Cafe is one of the three restaurants in Disney's Hollywood Hotel. It offers casual International Buffet and delightful dining experience with the Disney characters.

Pool

The hotel's piano-shaped swimming pool has a small waterslide and whirlpool to de-stress and unwind. We were glad we went to take a dip.

Disneyland Resort Shuttle Bus

The 24-hour shuttle bus service from Disneyland Hotel to Disneyland Park, and vice versa departs every 10-20 minutes and takes less than 5 minutes for each ride.

Disneyland Park

Me and Rock Licker were ecstatic for two days because of this happy place!

Flights of Fantasy Parade

This is definitely one of Disney’s signature spectacle that should not be missed. It's fun, overwhelming and it really sets the tone for the day. Oh happiness!

Character Photo Ops

We had the chance to meet & greet and have a photo op with our favourite Disney characters in different areas of the park throughout the day.

Rides and Attractions

There are LOTS of rides here, and if you are one of those people who take Disneyland Park seriously, you will need a minimum of 2 days to be able to explore the whole place and to try out all the rides. We we're not so adventurous and so we ended up as spectators and observed how fellow park visitors had a blast with the rides.

Santa Mickey's Toy-riffic Street Party

This is one of Disney's special Christmas parade and we were able to catch it while strolling the Main Street. As usual, utilizing our mad skills, we were able to grab the best spot to take pictures.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Light Show and Fireworks Display

The magic is never complete without Disney's signature closing fireworks. This jaw-dropping, awesome fireworks display transformed the Sleeping Beauty Castle into a wonderful array of lights and colours, all beautifully themed to a Disney medley of songs that starts and ends with "A World New World" from Aladdin. The best way to cap off a happy night!
